What is the scope for a guest departure cleaning?

Here are the tasks we ask our team to complete for each area of the property:

• Bedrooms: complete this task when approaching each bedroom using follow the wall technique
  • Wipe down all surfaces (end tables, dressers, etc.) with damp sponge daddy and a drop of dish soap on the sponge. Buff dry with a microfiber cloth
  • Dust the tv
  • Dust ceiling fans
  • Clean under the beds
    • Pickup any trash
    • Vacuum under the beds
• Bathrooms:
  • General:
    • Dust all light fixtures and decor
    • Wipe down all surfaces (countertops etc)
    • Clean the mirror
    • Clean inside the sinks with
    • Polish the faucets
  • Bathtub:
    • Remove any used soap
    • Clean soap scum
    • Vacuum all hair and sand from the bathtub
    • Clean all surfaces
  • Standup shower:
    • Vacuum all hair and sand from the standup shower
    • Wipe out the standup shower
    • Treat any mold or mildew with bleach and scrub it with a brush 
    • Clean the standup shower window
      • 
• Toilet:
  • Clean inside the toilet bowl
  • Clean under the toilet seat
  • Clean on top of the toilet seat
  • Clean behind the toilet seat
  • Clean the base of the toilets
• Living room:
  • Vacuum under all couch cushions
  • Wipe down all couches and furniture
  • Wipe exterior of entertainment center
  • Clean under all couches and furniture
  • Arrange pillows neatly on couches
  • Dust the tv
  • Dust the ceiling fan
  • Clean interior of windows
• Patio/balcony:
  • Pick up all trash
  • Sweep
  • Arrange furniture
  • Wipe down furniture
  • Organize beach toys
  • Clean exterior of windows
• Kitchen:
  • Dishwasher:
    • Unload clean dishes and organize neatly in the cabinets
    • Polish the outside of the dishwasher
  • Microwave:
    • Wipe the inside of the microwave and warming plate
    • Wipe under the warming plate
    • Wipe the microwave window
    • Wipe the outside of the microwave
    • Polish the outside of the microwave with stainless steel polish
  • Stovetop/Oven:
    • Clean top of stove
    • Clean knobs with
    • Wipe out bottom of oven
    • Clean oven window
    • Polish the outside
  • Refrigerator:
    • Clean inside of refrigerator
      • Remove all food
      • Clean inside each drawer
      • Clean each shelf
      • Clean and freezer including all drawers
  • Wipe all countertops and surfaces
  • Clean inside sink and wipe down faucet fixture 
  • Polish all stainless steel appliances
  • Misc:
    • Clean toaster crumb tray
    • Check all coffee makers for coffee grounds and k cups
    • Clean coffee pot and drip tray
    • Organize utensil drawer and wipe out all crumbs
    • Wipe outside of all cabinets

Floor cleaning protocol

• Sweep the entire unit including under all furniture and tables. Sweep the whole unit even if you swept each room already as a part of your close-out procedure for each area.
  • Ideally, this would be completed using a rubber broom
  • Vacuum the whole unit using a Bissel Zing (or other vacuum if you do not own a Bissel Zing)
• Sweep the entire unit again
• Walk barefoot through the entire unit to feel for sand or debris
• If any sand is felt, sweep the unit again
• Put on a CLEAN mop head for the spin mop (spin mops are a crucial part of the protocol)
• Fill mop bucket with warm water and a drop of dawn dish soap and a little vinegar
• Mop the entire unit
